The Snake Slayer IV has a 4.25″ barrel (versus 3.5″ on the standard Snake Slayer). The longer barrel on the SSIV provides tighter shot patterns, higher velocities, and even more manageable recoil than the original Snake Slayer. The Snake Slayer IV will accept all of our standard interchangeable barrels and comes equipped with our custom extended rosewood grips for added comfort.

Purchased this firearm a couple of years ago mostly as a sidearm while working outside on our property when clearing and weed-eating.  There's always a risk of running into rattlers. Carrying this gun and using either .410 ga. or .45 LC snake shot is much less bulky than others used in the past.

Over the past couple of years, this gun has proven to be effective and efficient, I have lost count of the number of snakes - particularly rattlesnakes this gun has dispatched while working on our property.  Took a short bit of time getting used to the trigger position respective to the grip, but that posed no problem.

I really like and enjoy shooting this little gun and it is a lifesaver!!!

 I have wanted a Snake Slayer for some time I found a great deal on a Snake Slayer IV. Whether I'm going to the pond to fish or running to town I have the Snake Slayer on my hip. Its extremely well made, lots of fun to shoot and American made by some good folks down in Texas. Buy American, support our troops, defend the 2nd and God Bless America.

I bought a Snake Slayer IV several years ago, and admire it every time I see it. It is exceptionally well made! This morning, I visited the Bond Arms website, and I felt compelled to write this testimonial. I am so proud to be an American, and I deeply love my country. I am continually dismayed and concerned that much of America's manufacturing has moved overseas. When I have an opportunity to purchase a U.S. made product, I usually jump at the opportunity. But when a U.S. made product is truly exceptional, the company needs to be recognized. Gordon Bond and Bond Arms are to be commended for their commitment to American manufacturing, American workers, and for manufacturing firearms of exceptional quality. Well done!

My Snake Salyer IV is a very well made, extremely high-quality firearm. I received great and responsive service from the company and am well satisfied. Great value! I carried an early German-made derringer for many, many years as a backup gun while working as a police officer. That gun functioned well and I still use it today, but the quality of the of the Bond Arms gun is far superior. Thank you for your attention to detail in the manufacture of your product. I wish it was available in those early years.

I shoot a lot, but I have never had more fun than shooting this hand cannon. If you're looking for something awesome to use as the ultimate self-defense weapon or you want to blow up milk jugs, this is the guy for you. You might be thinking you can't hit anything with a 4.25 inch barrel derringer, but this gun is different. It is very high quality that you can feel and understand when you shoot. The quality of the .410 and the .45 is wonderful, and with just minimal practice, you'll easily hit what you're aiming for. With this weapon, you get it all: security, peace of mind, and the most fun you ever had shooting a handgun.
