How did we get the price down so low?

Bond Arms has been well known for having a premium fit and finish to every gun we make.  To get to that level of aesthetic quality it takes a lot of time. We have taken that process and trimmed it down to create a gun that still has the robust qualities of our pre-existing models without all of the frills.
People have asked, are you using die cast or pot metals? The answer is NO!! They are all the same grade of stainless steel like our current production models.
To give you an idea of our current process for manufacturing our current guns, we literally sand every part, then we spend a tremendous amount of time Polishing and hand finishing all these same parts to the Quality Finish that Bond Arms has always been known for.
Quality Control (QC) on our current guns nearly borders on excessive. Once the guns are shot and all functions work as they should, our QC guys then go to extreme measures to find every cosmetic flaw, scratch, ding, or pit or anything else that didn’t pass our inspection. This means the guns are sent back to be fixed, which in most cases, involve totally disassembling the gun to re-polish or fix any flaw that they may find. On occasion the same gun may go through that same process 3 to 4 times until it passes QC.
With the Grizzly and Rough series, we do minimal clean up and deburr to make sure there are no sharp edges and then we bead blast the finish. With this gun, part of the COOL FACTOR is that you can actually see the parting lines in the metal frame and trigger guard. As a final touch we left in some of the swirly tool marks on the barrel just to give it that more ROUGH & TUMBLE Look. Also, since we are not sanding and polishing the frame, you may see tiny casting imperfections and rough areas that would never be acceptable for our current line of products.
This may not sound like much, but in comparison we can build 4 to 5 Grizzly’s in the same time as it takes to build ONE Texas Defender. That Is a Huge Amount of Savings on LABOR that allows us to pass those SAVINGS down to the consumer’s level.
After this past NRA show we saw that most of the higher volume sales of handguns were in the $300 to $350 and below range. When we came back from the show we set down and went part by part on our gun and by still using the same quality of parts we came up with ways to reduce cost on every part, but still build a TANK Of a Gun….

Grizzly Mike
Love the extended and thicker grip. I have fired a couple of “other” 45LC/410 derringers a the superior workmanship and materials of the Grizzly was readily apparent. Better balance and more quickly re-acquire target for second shot. Recoil is very manageable. Love my Grizzly!

Grizzly
I had been wanting a Bond Arms derringer for a while as a concealed carry weapon. Have a number of other handguns but they all are uncomfortable or I have to wear a sports jacket or sweater or something to hide it. Settled on the Grizzly and it is perfect. I bought it yesterday and went from the store to the range. Shots very well and I can carry it in my pocket. Little bit of a sage depending on what pants I wear but the Grizzly is by far the best CC gun. Very, very, very happy!!!!!

Excellent Value
Bought this for my son in 2021 and he loves it. Recoil from 2.5” 410 is agreeable, likewise for .45 Colt. Fit and function are absolutely as good as my Snakeslayer II, for hundreds less. The finish as-received is actually a bit better than the photograph, but I suspect it varies unit-by-unit. And all of my Bond Arms barrels fit his Grissly perfectly (we ping quite a bit with .22). If there must be a con, let it be the holster: Form fitting and Texas-attractive, but not as secure as he’d like. He subsequently bought a holster to match his carry style and remains completely satisfied.

Love it - It's become my go-to carry pistol!
The title says it all - I just wish I could find 2.5 inch 410 ammo!
