Bond Arms Inc., a Texas-based company known for its modern double-barreled derringers, is releasing two derringer models, the Stinger and Stinger RS.
These new derringers are chambered either for calibers 9mm Luger or .380 ACP and are designed to be slimmer in profile than other classic Bond Arms double barreled derringers. Additionally, the Stinger and Stinger RS are also lighter in weight when compared to other offerings from Bond Arms. Stinger frames are made from one piece of anodized 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. In the case of the Stinger RS model, the frame is built from one piece of heat-treated stainless steel. Because of this, one can expect the Stinger RS to be a few ounces heavier than the standard Stinger derringer, and this the case. The Stinger weighs 12 ounces, while the Stinger RS weighs 16 ounces. Both of these derringers ship with high impact resistant Zytel polymer slim profile stocks in addition to a set of rubber stocks. Like other Bonds Arms’ derringers, the Stinger and Stinger RS also include cross bolt safeties, rebounding hammers, and retracting firing pins. These features are intended to provide an additional layer of safety to the user. While the main difference between the Stinger and Stinger RS models is that their frames are made from two different materials with different finishes, they do have the following features in common:
The retail price of the Bond Arms Stinger starts at $389.00 while the Stinger RS retails for $279.00. For more information on this pair of derringers and other firearms available for sale from Bond Arms Inc., please visit their website at bondarms.com.
