We purchased this derringer from Cabelas after going there to look at the “Backup”. The Patriot was so well finished that we decided that having a BAD holster included made the Patriot a better choice for us. When we got home we noticed that the breech end of the barrel had numerous tooling marks. These marks, while not affecting the function of the derringer, did in fact diminish the pride of ownership in the weapon. We took the derringer to the range and we were impressed with accuracy and reliability. We decided to see if we could polish the barrel to remove the marks and we were successful. We are impressed with our derringer and we would buy it again. We are impressed with Bond Arms and their after sale follow up. We would encourage them to be more careful with quality control inspections because those can be deal breakers. It would have been for us if we had noticed them at the store. I am happy that we didn’t notice them and worked through the problem ourselves because the derringer is great. We carry it with us and may consider purchasing another. We totally recommend Bond Arms!
